Why we started this
LabOps AI began with a simple observation: laboratories are some of the most data-rich environments in healthcare, and also some of the most operationally opaque. Every specimen generates a trail of timestamps, statuses, and results, but almost none of that data is assembled into something a manager can actually use to run a better shift. We wanted to close that gap.
What we're building
We're building AI tools that turn operational data into actionable intelligence, helping laboratory teams operate with greater visibility, predictability, and control. That means real-time dashboards instead of end-of-shift reports, predictive alerts instead of after-the-fact postmortems, and a system that gets smarter about your specific lab's patterns over time rather than treating every laboratory the same way.
How we approach the work
- We build alongside the labs running LabOps AI today, not in isolation. Every feature exists because a real operations team asked for it or hit a wall without it.
- We treat prediction as something that has to be explainable, not just accurate. An alert your team can't trace back to a cause isn't useful, no matter how statistically sound it is.
- We take healthcare data seriously from day one. Security and reliability aren't features we bolt on later.
Who's building it
LabOps AI is led by a small team spanning healthcare operations, product, and applied AI/ML. You can meet the people behind the platform on the team section of our homepage. We're a small enough team that when you reach out, you're talking to someone who actually builds the product, not a support queue.
